He is also known as Miyamoto Musashi. Takezō is known as the world’s greatest Japanese swordsman, philosopher, strategist, artist, architect, writer, rōnin, and master teacher of his time. He was born circa 1584 and died June 13th, 1645. Takezō wrote two books, The Book of Five Rings and Dokkodo, and a novel named Musashi was written about him.
